5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ The case came up for hearing before the committee again on 21-09-12. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy. CE/DS Circle Jalandhar presented the case before the committee for discussion. Sh. Darshan Singh advocate father of Sh. Sukhjot Singh was present on behalf of the consumer before the committee. This case has been discussed at length. After detailed deliberations, the committee observed that this is a case of erratic functioning of the meter. Therefore, it is decided that the account of the consumer may be overhauled from the date of reading of the bill for the month of 05/2011 to the date of replacement of meter i.e. 02-01-2012 on the basis of 8993 units per month i.e. the consumption recorded during the month of 10/2010. The amount already paid by the consumer may be adjusted and the account be overhauled accordingly. Interest/refund may be recovered/refunded to the consumer as per instructions of PSPCL.
