The case came up for hearing on 29-09-11. Sh. Gurpreet Singh consumer himself appeared before the committee. Er. Gopal Sharma, SE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the committee for discussion. The matter has been discussed in detail. The DDL in this case is crystal clear and the conclusive proof showing the consumption of the consumer. As such, there is no merit in the representation of the consumer. The CT equipment records the abnormality/default that occur and not otherwise. The system is in built. The working of the CT/PT and the DDL recording has been explained to the consumer and has nothing to bring-forth anything to contradict the contention of Er. Gopal Sharma, SE/DS Circle, PSPCL, Jalandhar. In the fact and circumstances of the case and considering the plea of the consumer, the committee comes to the conclusion that the consumption data 1.5 times of the preceding six months from the date of checking (i.e. 10-01-2011) be adopted as basis for the overhauling the account of the consumer. Therefore, the account of the consumer may be overhauled and charged accordingly. Interest/surcharge may be recovered from the consumer as per instructions of the PSPCL.
