5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ Sh. B.C.Shiv & Sh. Harbans Singh attended the meeting. This consumer was charged Rs 312990/- as per checking of ASE/Enforcement-1, Ludhiana on dt 18.7.12. As per this report the consumer had challenged the meter on account of jumping of the meter reading & further observed that both the KWH & KVAH readings had moved up substantially. Subsequently the meter was changed on 8.8.12 & taken to ME Lab vide store challan no: 120820/52261 dt: 11.9.12. As per ME Lab report the results were found within permissible limits. Consumer in his written petition pleaded that such high consumption in one month was not possible, because his consumption Petron for last 3 years was consistent & varied from 5000 to approx. 7000 units. The DDL repot of the meter taken on 18.7.12 was also studied by the committee. The committee deliberated the case, studied the consumption pattern from 2007 onwards & observed that such high consumption was never recorded & unanimously decided that the accounts of the consumer may be overhauled by taking the recorded consumption & power factor of 6/12 for the month of 7/12. Revised calculations should be made & consumer should be informed accordingly.
