5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ The case has been discussed in detail in the presence of consumer\'s representative. It is clear that the working of meter is O.K. The display of the meter is defective but on its manual operation the correct readings are available as such there is no merit in the submissions of the consumer. As the working of the meter is O.K. and their power factor reading is also correct, the case is decided accordingly. The amount already paid by the consumer be adjusted and the consumer\'s account may be overhauled as per instructions of PSPCL. Interest on the disputed amount may also be regulated as per instruction of PSPCL.

1 Thu 29, Aug 2013  The case came up for hearing before the committee on 26-07-2013. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy.CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the committee. The consumer Sh. Munish Garg appeared before the committee in person. The case has been discussed at length. The meter in this case was challenged by the consumer and was accordingly removed on 15-12-2012 and a new meter was installed. The removed meter and the new meter showed a difference of 34936 units and accordingly for this the bill was raised to the consumer. The removed meter was checked and as per the report of the ME lab the software was found to be defective. The consumer has already deposited a sum of Rs. 201519/- under protest and prays that he may kindly be granted relief in the power factor. The consumer has shown the recent 2 bills No. 6019 and 5314 of his account submitting that the amount charged in the bills are not as per the existing circumstances. The copies of the bills supplied are placed on record and the Dy.CE/DS Jalandhar is directed to offer his comments and report as to whether the amounts of these two bill have been deducted from the bill under dispute i.e. bill No. 6725. The case is adjourned to the next date.
