The consumer requested to SDO Commercial-1 Bathinda for change of his meter due to dead stop. On the request of consumer the meter was changed vide request No. 820047 dt. 16.12.13 on dt. 06.02.14. In the month of 1/2014 consumer issued a bill of Rs. 553690 on consumption base. Consumer challenged this bill in Zonal level DSC.

The dismental meter of the consumer got checked from ME lab Bathinda. As per testing report No. 258 dt. 27.3.2014 the KWH & KVAH readings of the meter was found same. From this it is clear that software of the meter has got defective. On the basis of the consumption data presented by the P.O. from the data of connection. Following decision was taken. Committee after scrutinise the consumption data and representation of the consumer and presentation officer. It was decided that account of the consumer be overhauled from 6.11.13 to 6.2.14 by taking average consumption of 5692 bimonthly units and amount so calculated be recovered from consumer.
