4.  ਵਰਨਣ The consumer has connected load 498 KW in LS category. On dated 6.5.2013 at the time of recording the readings, the display of the meter found disappeared. Due to faulty display of the meter, CBC prepared the bill of month 5/2013 by charging average (132750 units) by taking the reading of corresponding month of the previous year i.e. 5/2012.
5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ The consumer has connected load 498 KW in LS category. On dated 6.5.2013 at the time of recording the readings, the display of the meter found disappeared. Due to faulty display of the meter, CBC prepared the bill of month 5/2013 by charging average (132750 units) by taking the reading of corresponding month of the previous year i.e. 5/2012. The consumer did not agree with the bill and deposited 50% amount of the bill under protest and requested for settling his case in ZDSC. In the previous meeting, the required documents were submitted by the PO and necessary para-wise comments were also given on the petition. The committee after deliberation and going through the consumption data of the consumer for last three years and consumption recorded after the change of meter, decided that average charged during disputed period seems to be on the higher side. The committee decided to amend the average already charged by taking the average consumption for the period 09/12 to 04/13 which comes out to be 37915/- should be taken as a base for overhauling the account of consumer for the month of 05/13. As consumption after the change of meter is also less and comparable with the chosen period i.e. 09/12 to 04/13 (37915/-) shall be more appropriate. The case is decided accordingly.
