1 Sat 17, May 2014  The case was discussed by the Committee on 17.4.2014 and PO told the committee that consumer was issued a bill in 8/2013 for 71318 units(181231-109913) amounting to Rs. 462640 and meter was challenged. Meter was replaced vide MCO No. 135/105287 dt. 19.9.2013 EO 27.9.2013. Final reading was recorded on MCO was 197605. Meter was brought to ME Lab Verka vide challan No. 375 dt. 25.10.2013 and ME also vetted the final KWH reading 197605. PO also submitted that as per ME report meter pulse and counter is dead. Hence dial test of the meter was not possible. PO also submitted that before replacing the meter maximum consumption has been recorded 1565 units and after replacing the meter maximum consumption has been recorded 1839 units. The committee discussed the case and scrutinized the consumption data 3/2011 to 1/2014 and it was observed that consumption of the consumer before and after replacement of meter remained almost same except during 7/2013 and 8/2013, when meter might have gone erroneous. It was unanimously decided by the committee that the account of the consumer for the month 7/2013, 8/2013 and 9/2013 be overhauled taking the actual recorded consumption of 1839 units per month after the change of meter.
