5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ Dated 26-03-2015: This case, again, came up for hearing before the committee on 26-03-2015. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the committee. Sh. Suresh Kumar JE appeared before the committee on behalf of consumer and he has submitted his authorization which is placed on record. DECISION: The case has been discussed at length and the committee observed that the ME Lab. report has clarified that the meter remained defective during the period 12/2013 to 09/2014. The committee decided that for the defective period instead of charging actual reading which is wrong, the consumption for the month of 01/2012 which is 7177 units may be charged per month for the period in which the meter remained defective. The account of the consumer may be overhauled as per instructions of PSPCL. The case is decided accordingly.

Lakhwinder Singh, Superintending Engineer/M.C. Jalandhar, Sh. Suresh Kumar JE and Sh. Harjit Singh Lineman appeared before the committee in person. They are directed to file the power of attorney on the next date. Copy of comments offered by Dy.CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar on the representation of consumer has been supplied to the above said persons appearing on behalf of the consumer for their necessary action, if any. The case is adjourned in the interest of justice to the next date for submission of rebuttal etc.
