4.  ਵਰਨਣ The meter of the consumer jumped and gave excess reading which he challanged.
5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ Brief History This is a MS connection having sanctioned load of 38.75KW. The consumer challenged the meter. The meter was checked by ASE/Enf.-2, Ludhiana vide ECR no. 2/425 dt. 23.05.2014. The meter was changed vide MCO no. E12/M/14/196632/07845 dt. 26.05.2014 affected on dt. 05.06.2014. ME Lab vide challan no. 140605/93239 dt. 10.06.2014 reported that the results are within limits. RAP vide Half Margin no. 572 dt. 04.02.2015 overhauled the a/c of the consumer for the months 06/14 and 07/14 and pointed out an amount of Rs. 570594 recoverable from the consumer , sub division fully agreed with the amount detected by audit party and consumer was issued a notice to deposit the amount. The consumer being disagreed with the above charged amount, approached the office of CE/Op., (C), and requested to consider his case in ZLDSC which was accepted vide office memo no. 2168 dt. 6.4.2015 Proceedings Sh. Pritpal Singh, Sh. Sukhminder Singh, counsel of consumer appeared before the committee. In meeting dt. 21.05.2015, the committee directed P.O. to get the petition from consumer and submit along with his reply. The committee also directed P.O. to submit fresh LCR with connected load, consumption data of last 5 years, comments of Enf./ME Lab on DDL in the next meeting. In today’s meeting, P.O. presented the above said documents before the committee. Decision The committee studied all the documents and deliberated the whole case. As reported by ME Lab in its challan and comments vide endst. No. SPL-1 dt. 11.06.2015 “the data of meter was corrupt in MRI and it was not possible to deload it on BCS (Basic Computer System).”Moreover, the committee observed that such a huge variation in KVAH reading in the month 06/2014 with the running load of 19.716 KW as per LCR no. 005/9825 dt. 11.06.2015 seems to be incorrect. This might happen due to some defect in meter. Taking into consideration the above, the committee unanimously decided that the a/c of the consumer for 06/2014 be overhauled with the maximum KVAH consumption recorded during 04/2014 (i.e. 6759 units).
