E.O.M.C Malout applied connection vide A&A Form no 29149 & 29150 on dated 02-09-2004. The consumer clerk entered in service register under NRS category. connection were released on dated 06-09-2004 and billed accordingly under NRS tariff category . during audit of the Sub-Div.it was observed that the connection in question used for street light purpose. The audit party written a letter to assistant Eng. City Sub Div malout that billing should be done under strieet light tariff and calculation sheet as per E.S.I.M para no SVIII Annual minimum charges prepared.The amount was charged to the consumer. The case of the consumer put before the ZDSC on dated 11-05-2015.

After hearing the consumer & Presenting officer the ZDSC decided that the electricity connection of M/S E.O.M.C Malout having account no. KR24/449 was released under NRS category whereas were being used for street light. The committee decided that the amount charged to the consumer by audit party is recoverable from the consumer except for the year of 2005 & 2007. Being amount of bill more than MMC during these periods. So the amount of Bill sent to the consumer is Payable and recoverable as per standing instruction of PSPCL along with surcharge/Interest in monthly Six equal installments.
