4.  ਵਰਨਣ Consumer was received a bill of Rs. 319650/- for the month 8/2013, Consumer deposited 50% bill and challenged the bill by depositing challenge fee Rs.700/- on dated 13-8-2013 in Kalanaur S/D. Meter was changed and the old meter (packed) sent to ME Lab for testing. ME Lab reported that accuracy of the meter can\'t be checked because of burnt terminal block. After this consumer was served and notice to deposit the remained amount by the SDO Kalanaur. Consumer challenged this in DSC committee.
5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ The Circle level DSC committee come to this decision that as ME Lab didn’t report any result, that the A/c. of the consumer may be over hauled for the month of 8/2013 as per LDHF basis or according to highest consumption recorded in last three years which is 8055 units during 4/2013, whichever is higher. The amount may be recovered from the consumer.

1 Wed 12, Nov 2014  On dated 9-9-2014The Addl.SE/Op, Divn. Dhariwal was asked to give the detailed report for the late checking of meter in ME Lab.
On dated 12-11-2014 meeting was held in Gurdaspur Circle and the committee came to know that the meter may be checked by Enforcement being three phase. Sr. XEN. Enforcement was not reached in ME Lab. this is the reason for the late checking of the meter. The consumption data was observed and it is found that form 4/2011 to 5/2014 the maximum consumption was recorded 8055 units. But during 8/2013 abnormal consumption 42997 units was recorded, which was not possible even during 24 hrs.
