4.  ਵਰਨਣ M/S Bathinda chemicals having A/C No. B12Cl01/0010 having Sanctioned load 2500 KVA under LS category was charged peak load exemption charges Rs 5,39,217/- in the month 04-2015. The consumer not accepted the charges and put up his case in Zonal level Dispute Settlement committee.
5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ The consumer had contended that application for reduction of peak load was submitted to the office of Superintendent Engineer, Distribution Circle, Bathinda on 10.04.2015 and as per regulation 131.3 (v) of ESIM the peak load should have reduced maximum by May 10, 2015. The peak load was officially reduced on June 8, 2015. The committee decided that the regulation 131.3 (v) of ESIM is applicable if the consumer has applied directly to sanctioning authority (Chief Engineer, Power Purchase and Regulation, Patiala) and consumer had not applied for revision of status of continuous process plant. In this case the consumer had applied for reduction of peak load and reduction of load of continuous process plant. As such the reduction of peak load was clubbed with reduction in load of continuous process plant. Case of Consumer was sent to Chief Engineer, Distribution, West, Bathinda and then after removing of objections it was sent to Chief Engineer, Power Purchase and Regulation on 28.04.2015. Chief Engineer, Power Purchase and Regulation duly reduced the peak load and load of continuous process plant on 8.06.2015. Regulation 131.3 (v) was not applicable in this case and consumer was correctly charged the peak load exemption charges of Rs. 1222225/-

1 Tue 23, Jun 2015  Consumer requested for grant of date for preparation of representation to the committee. The consumer was granted the date.
2 Fri 11, Sep 2015  The consumer requested that the the scope of disputed amount should also include the peal load exemption charges included in the bills of 05-2015 and 06-2015 respectively of Rs. 557191/- and Rs. 129600/-. Thus the revised disputed amount was to be 1226008/-. This all amount was included in the bills issued to the consumer and was deposited by the consumer. The committee accepted the requested of the consumer and agreed to consider the case of revised amount at the next meeting.
