4.  ਵਰਨਣ This case came up for hearing before the Committee on 20-10-2016. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the Committee. Sh. Ranvir Jagota is present today in person on behalf of his wife Smt. Balvir Jagota. He has submitted a copy of the representation dated 9-9-16 and a copy of the same has been supplied to Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar for his comments within 10 days to the Committee with a copy to the consumer who shall submit his rebuttal, if any, to it within 10 days thereafter to the committee. Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalanhdar is directed to get the 6 months DDL of the meter prior to 01/2015 and submit to the Committee. The case is adjourned to the next date.
5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ This case again came up for hearing before the Committee on 24.01.2017. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the Committee. Sh. Ranvir Jagota was present on behalf of his wife Smt. Balvir Jagota. The dispute relates to higher consumption of 12876 units as recorded in 1/2015.The committee observed that consumption pattern of the consumer is very consistent and normal bi-monthly consumption ranges from 1500 units to 4000 units depending upon winter and summer period. The meter of the consumer was reported as “Pulse Dead, Display Dead, and Meter Defective & Smoky”. The final reading has not been mentioned in ME/Lab report. As such, the reading of 76492 KWH (consumption 12876 units) as recorded in 1/2015, besides being abnormal could not be authenticated from ME/lab report. The committee is of the view that abnormal consumption of 12876 units may be due to erratic behavior of the meter or due to reporting of wrong reading by the meter reader. The case was discussed in length and it was unanimously decided by the Committee that the average of consumption as recorded in 07/2014 to 11/2014 ( 4947 units, 3721 units & 2499 units) be taken as basis and charged from the consumer for the disputed period in question. The case is decided accordingly.

1 Tue 22, Nov 2016  This case, again, came up for hearing before the Committee on 22-11-2016. Er. Gopal Sharma, Dy. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the Committee. Sh. Ranvir Jagota is present today in person on behalf of his wife Smt. Balvir Jagota. Dy.CE/DS Circle presented reply on the petition of the consumer and the same was taken on record.
It was observed by the commitee that the amount deposited by the consumer for getting the case fixed before ZDSC is short of the ordered amount. The consumer assured that he will deposit the amount on 22.11.2016 itself. The Commitee after discussion on the case directed by DY. CE/DS Circle, Jalandhar to supply DDL of the disputed meter(if available), consumption data for the last 3 yars along with dates of reading, for further discussion. The case is adjourned to next date of hearing.
