5.  ਫੈਸਲਾ This case again, came up for hearing before the Committee on 23.03.2018. Er. Suvarsha, Sr XEN/Tech., DS Circle, Jalandhar presented the case before the Committee. Sh. Des Raj brother of the consumer appeared before the Committee. As per the proceedings of dated 30.1.2018, M.E.Lab has reported that the meter has Electro Mechanical counter and has no DDL port and as such, it is not possible to down load the data of the meter. The Committee observed the consumption data of the consumer after change of meter during 5/2017. The consumption patron is quite higher compared to the period before 2/2017. The latest consumption from 30.12.17 to 01.03.2018 was recorded as 2461 units. The meter in question which was changed in 05/17, has been reported OK by M.E.Lab. In view of this and load of the consumer which is 7.740KW, there is no reasonable grounds to suspect the reading reported during 02/17 as the meter has been reported Okay by the M.E.Lab. As such, the Committee decided that the amount charged to the consumer is recoverable. It was also gathered by Sr. XEN/Tech.Op. Circle, Jalandhar from the AEE./Op Hadiabad that the meter of the consumer is installed inside his premises. The Committee took serious notice of it and requested that Dy. CE Op Circle Jalandhar should investigate as to why the meter of the consumer has still installed inside the premises, fix responsibility of the same and take necessary action under intimation to ZDSC as well as Chief Engineer/DS North Zone ,PSPCL Jalandhar.
